چکیده

We extent our previous study on spherically symmetric braneworld solutions with induced gravity, including non-local bulk effects. We find the most general static four-dimensional black hole solutions with gtt = −g−1 rr . They satisfy a closed system of equations on the brane and represent the strong-gravity corrections to the Schwarzschild-(A)dS4 spacetime. These new solutions have extra terms which give extra attraction relative to the Newtonian-(A)dS4 force; however, the conventional limits are easily obtained. These terms, when defined asymptotically, behave like AdS4 in this regime, while when defined at infinitely short distances predict either an additional attractive Newtonian potential or an attractive potential which scales approximately as √ r. One of the solutions found gives extra deflection of light compared to Newtonian deflection. [email protected] [email protected] [email protected]

Black Holes and Black String-like Solutions in Codimension-2 Braneworlds

We discuss black hole solutions with a Gauss-Bonnet term in the bulk and an induced gravity term on a thin brane of codimension-2. We show that these black holes can be localized on the brane, and they can be extended further into the bulk by a warp function. These solutions have regular horizons and no other curvature singularities appear apart from the string-like ones. The projection of the ...

Higher order gravity theories and their black hole solutions

In these lectures notes, we will discuss a particular higher order gravity theory, Lovelock theory, that generalises in higher dimensions than 4, general relativity. After briefly motivating modifications of gravity, we will introduce the theory in question and we will argue that it is a unique, mathematically sensible, and physically interesting extension of general relativity. We will see, by...

The phase transition of corrected black hole with f(R) gravity

In this letter, we consider static black hole in f(R) gravity. We take advantage from corrected entropy and temperature and investigate such black hole. Finally, we study the $ P - V $ critically and phase transition of corrected black hole with respect to entropy and temperature. Here also, we obtain the heat capacity for the static black hole in $ f(R) $ gravity. This calculation help us...

Quantum Black Holes as Holograms in AdS Braneworlds

We propose a new approach for using the AdS/CFT correspondence to study quantum black hole physics. The black holes on a brane in an AdSD+1 braneworld that solve the classical bulk equations are interpreted as duals of quantum-corrected D-dimensional black holes, rather than classical ones, of a conformal field theory coupled to gravity. We check this explicitly in D = 3 and D = 4. In D = 3 we ...

Bouncing Braneworlds Go Crunch!

Recently, interesting braneworld cosmologies in the Randall-Sundrum scenario have been constructed using a bulk spacetime which corresponds to a charged AdS black hole. In particular, these solutions appear to ‘bounce’, making a smooth transition from a contracting to an expanding phase. By considering the spacetime geometry more carefully, we demonstrate that generically in these solutions the...
